Appearance:
With long shoulder length black hair, this angel looks nothing like those that are often pictured. Morticia often keeps her hair loose so that it hangs across her face hiding it most of the time. Her eyes are dark chocolate brown with a sadness that never seems to leave her morose and under-emotional face. Rarely does a smile cross her face and it shows in the way she holds her mouth in an almost frown at all time. Her clothing tends toward black and she leans toward loose skirts or alternatively skin tight pants but she always pairs things with t-shirts that allow her to move and yet somehow hug her frame. All this blackness about her physical appearance matches her charcoal gray wings. All of this is because this gorgeous angel is indeed a fallen angel Mortica rarely if ever shows these wings, though she is proud to see that they are lightening as she works her way back up the ladder to her former status.. At 6’0 feet tall and 130 pounds, Morticia seems overtly tall and wispy much like a young willow tree. However, even as tall and wispy as she seems, the angel gives off a vibe of strength. Despite her lightweight, the angel has a certain strength in her limbs that doesn’t show up in her physical body.Personality:
Upon first meeting her, people would think that Morticia is almost emotionless, but after awhile you come to find that she merely represses all emotions she feels thinking that it is better to hide all her feelings than to bond with anyone. It is rare for her to really frown or smile. Instead the angel tends to run the middle ground and seem stoic and unflustered by any type of problems with others. However, Morticia has a tendency to have a very two sided set of feelings. Depending on how she feels about a person, Morticia can be scary and domineering or she can be sweet, caring, and protective. While the fallen angel has a certain fascination with the human race and tends to be protective of them even those who seem to be on the wrong track, she has less patience with supernaturals who take out their anger on humans or use their powers to control or scare humans. When confronted with someone she disagrees with, Morticia does her best to control her temper, rarely raising her voice even when set off to her max. The only thing Morticia really struggles to deal with are other angels, she knows that they are supposed to avoid her and yet that avoidance makes her madder than anything especially as she works her way ever closer to rising back to heaven. Finally, it is Morticia’s personal mission to help out humans, so any human or supernatural with the same morose or stoic issues as herself can expect that Morticia will pop up at every turn attempting to fix the problems of the other while ignoring her own problems at the same time.History:
Most of the older angels were created at the beginning of time as God created the world, however, Morticia is more like a second generation angel. She was created not long after the beginning of the world and the downfall of humans. God felt that the humans now cast from paradise would need someone to protect them and watch over them. In essence, angels like Morticia were assigned to specific places in the world to do God’s work. It was their duties to carry out the miracles God prescribed to keep human beings on track. Even pagan societies were set to be watched by God’s angels as even the nonbelievers have a special place in the realm of God.Name: Mikko
For the majority of Morticia’s life, she was assigned to southwestern Europe. She came to really adore the people as she watched countless generations go through the life cycle and she enjoyed walking through them at odd intervals especially as people began to believe in her master and practice Christianity, though at times she was flummoxed about how these people could be so good and then so selfish and dark at the same time. She made it her personal mission to strength the faith as Rome began to fall and the humans she protected began to regress. However, even throughout the dark ages, the humans continued to believe in the faith and generiosity of her master.
Morticia was a dutiful and diligent angel. She followed orders without question delivering miracles and bringing souls back to God as she was asked to. Never did she think to question the orders of the one who created her. That was until the Black Death broke out and hundreds of those she guarded and watched over succumbed and died. Without hesitation, Morticia went to God and begged him to save her people to give them some way to stop this plague that was running rampant through her people. Her pleas went unheard instead the male angel, Gabriel who Morticia had once been apprenticed to took her place and she was sent to watch over deserted islands for a few hundred years. After a long time of absence, Morticia was once again reassigned to Italy during the Renaissance. She watched with interest on the people and couldn’t seem to forget how God had ignored all those people when the death swept through.
She never intended to directly disobey God, but it came without thought. There was a young artist whose work was exquisite and yet he was depressed and God had slated for him to commit suicide as his career tanked. Unable to watch another good man die, Morticia stepped in and changed his fate by having the man chosen for a work on the Sistine Chapel. The man was saved from his fate for the time being, but no good deed goes unpunished. God expelled Morticia from heaven and doomed her to walk among the people until she could prove herself to be a more loyal subject to God. Now she has walked for several hundred years among the people. She came to America when the first French traders came over and has never left being more comfortable in the deep South.
