Appearance:
Monica Hobbs has reddish-brown hair that goes down past her shoulders and half way down her back. It is slightly wavy and is usually parted down the middle and left to rest on her shoulders and along her back. Her eyes are a light blue color and are rimmed with black lashes that go really well with her eyes, making her eyes one of her best features. She has fair skin and it is lightly speckled with freckles along her face. Her ears are pierced once on each side of her head, but she rarely ever wears earrings. She is about five foot one and weighs around one hundred twenty five pounds. She currently doesn't have any tattoos or birthmarks on her body since her parents won't let her get any tattoos and she wasn't born with a birthmark as far as she is aware of.Personality:
Monica prefers long sleeved shirts and jeans when the weather is cool out and short sleeved shirts and shorts in the warmer months. She doesn't like having to wear a uniform, but wears it, anyway, because she knows that she will get in trouble if she doesn't wear it when she is supposed to. When she goes swimming, she prefers wearing a one piece swimsuit since she likes how it looks on her and one pieces don't cost as much as two piece swimsuits. For shoes, she will either wear sneakers, sandals, high heels, or the shoes that go with her uniform since she has a hard time finding the right type of boots for her height.
Monica is a lot of things. She is determined, observant, gentle, caring, stubborn, and self-conscious of her appearance and of how people view her. She doesn’t want them to treat her differently or think that she is ugly for some reason and not tell her what it is they don’t like about her. She is wary of the people at Cry Wolf High, because they don’t seem like your typical type of people. Before coming to this school, she didn’t believe in the supernatural, but has started to believe in the supernatural world since there have been odd things happening at the school and it being magical would pretty much be the only rational way to explain it. Due to this, she is partially afraid of what the people at this school are and partially curious about them. She is mainly afraid of becoming one of them since she prefers being human over becoming a vampire or some other species that humans can be turned into. Other things she is afraid of is being without her EpiPen when she has an allergic reaction to strawberries. This has happened to her before and she had ended up in the hospital because she had trouble breathing, was swelling up, and breaking out in hives. She doesn’t ever want to experience that again.History:
When it comes to things she likes and dislikes, there are a lot. She loves Root Beer floats. She enjoys making friends and spending time with her family when they come visit her at the school which is where she is currently living. Her favorite hobby is reading and she joined the Literature club shortly after arriving at the school, which has been a lot of fun. She also enjoys dancing and going to see Mardi Gras when it is going on. She doesn’t like people treating her or anyone she cares about badly since she doesn’t like the way it makes her feel or how it makes her family and friends feel when it happens to them. She usually tries to stick up for herself and her family and friends or, if she can’t stick up for the people she cares about, she will at least comfort them afterwards. She doesn’t like getting stuck in the rain or being out in extremely hot weather since she doesn’t like the feeling of being soaked and doesn’t like it when she sweats a lot. She usually tries to stay away from cemetaries, because they are creepy, and swamps, because there most likely are crocodiles and snakes around. Lastly, she doesn’t like being in complete darkness mostly because she doesn’t like the idea of not being able to see and usually tries to keep herself away from situations that result in her being in a place that is really dark.
Monica Abigail Hobbs was born on November 5, 1999, to William and Alana Hobbs. She grew up in Virginia and lived a fairly boring life until she was five years old. This was when she tried strawberries for the first time and had a severe allergic reaction. It resulted her being rushed to the hospital and the doctors rushing to get her to breathe normally again. By the time she arrived at the hospital, she was gasping for breath and fear was clear on her face as she looked at all the doctors that were saying things that she couldn’t understand clearly and her parents weren’t anywhere she could see. After a while, she blacked out and when she woke up she was in a hospital bed with tubes in various places and loud machines beeping and monitoring different things. While she had been asleep, her parents were told that she had an allergic reaction and had given them an EpiPen just in case it happened again and her parents explained what the doctors had told them to her and that she couldn’t eat strawberries anymore, because they made her sick. She had just nodded since she didn’t feel like speaking and soon went back to sleep.Name: Brittney
After that, her parents always made sure that she had her EpiPen with her wherever she went and that someone would be able to give it to her if she had an allergic reaction again. A few years passed before her parents and Monica got into the habit of staying away from strawberries and any foods that had it in them and never leaving home without her EpiPen and soon went on with life as normally as they could. She continued with her schooling, hanging out with her friends, and doing the typical things that a girl her age did.
A few months ago, her father got laid off of his job and had a hard time finding a job in Virginia so he and Monica’s mother decided to leave Virginia and instead go to New Orleans to see if Will could find a job there. He did and, when the school year came around, they enrolled her at Cry Wolf High. At first, she didn’t like living away at home and starting at a school with people that she didn’t even know, but she forced herself to give it a chance. After a while, she began to notice that something was going on. There were strange incidents going on at the school and not everybody seemed human. This was when she started to believe that perhaps supernatural creatures really did exist. She didn’t tell her parents about them, though, since she hasn’t gotten hurt yet and she didn’t want to worry them or make them think she was going mad. Instead, she just kept it to herself when they came to visit and pretended like everything was fine and went on with her life. Still, she is constantly afraid that she will end up getting hurt and possibly become one of the supernatural beings at this school and in the town of New Orleans.

Monica was sitting in the cafeteria with some friends she had made over the past few months, eating her food and talking to them at the same time. She wasn’t really paying attention to what was on her plate and didn’t notice that pie she had just begun to eat was in fact strawberry, which she didn’t realize it was strawberry when she picked it out. She became aware of her mistake when she placed the piece of pie that was on her spoon in her mouth and tasted the rich taste of strawberries on her tongue. No, she thought to herself as she looked down at her pie and then at her spoon. Putting her spoon on her plate, she grabbed her bag and began to search through it for her EpiPen. She began to panic when she couldn’t find it and she began to feel the familiar burning sensation in her mouth and, after a moment, the swelling of her tongue and throat. Abandoning her backpack and letting it fall to the floor of the cafeteria, she gripped the table she was sitting at and gasped for breath, but all that came out was a wheezing sound. By this time, the people around her were turning to look at her and in the distance she heard someone call for someone to go get a teacher or the nurse.
She wasn’t sure how much time passed before she began to see black spots in her vision that was resulting from air loss and her head felt all fuzzy and dizzy. She wanted to breathe in, to just take one deep breath, but her lungs and mouth wouldn’t let her. I should have made sure my EpiPen was in my backpack, she thought as she began to feel like she was going to pass out. Just as she was feeling this way, the nurse arrived in the cafeteria with a spare EpiPen and rushed to her side. Monica looked up at her and stared at her with relief and fear in her eyes. The nurse smiled at her and then proceeded to inject her with the EpiPen. Once it was delivered, the nurse stayed with her until Monica was breathing normally. During this time, Monica felt her throat opening up and, after a few seconds, she breathed in a big gulp of air. Tears of joy came to her blue eyes as she breathed the air in and out of her lungs and was so glad that she had managed to receive help in time. She really didn’t want to wake up in a hospital again like she had when she was younger. That would have been so terrifying.
Once she was doing better, she said to the nurse and the students and teachers that had flocked around her, “I’m fine. Everything’s fine.” She swallowed a little bit as she spoke the words and glanced around at the people that were watching her with worried expressions on her face. All of this attention made her uneasy and made her want to run and hide. If it had been for some other reason, she might like the attention, but in this case she didn’t. She just wanted them to go away and let her go lay down in her dorm and sleep this incident off. Not wanting to look at them anymore, she looked down at her backpack that was on the floor and noticed how the contents had spilled out of it and were now strewn across the floor that was close to where her feet were located. Great, she thought as she sighed quietly, but she kept her eyes on it, hoping that someone would tell all of these people to give her some space and head on to their classes.
