Appearance:
Personality:Aric is tall, far taller than his sister, clearly taking after his father, standing in at 6'2. However his weight isn't nearly ideal or what it should be. He's skinny, nearly on the verge of being unhealthily so, but due to his general frame, which is normally skinny, most don't notice it, besides, he can cover this well, the fact that he's only 170 pounds, where he should be a deal heavier. He doesn't have any tattoos yet, but he plans on getting some, just as his sister does, later on once he's sixteen. He doesn't have any distinguishing marks or blemishes, and his skin happens to be just like his sisters, that pale tan color that tends to stay that way. His general features are chiseled, statue like as his sister likes to tease, but in actuality very good qualities.
His hair is always tousled from one way or another, and generally sticks out every which way, and is a mixture of darker brown, medium brown, and blonde, a mish mash of both his father and his mother's hair colors. As well as his eyes, he takes after his father very closely, having those same baby blues his father did, as well as just the overall gait and posturing, like a prince, his mother used to say so fondly. Other than his unhealthy thinness, he tends to have that wiry strength that most underestimate. After all, no one expects and underweight fifteen year old to be able to overpower them, right? Well, when he gets in one of his moods, or is protecting his sister, he can easily lift things that most wouldn't think he could.
History:
- Insane.
- To say Aric is insane is an understatement. He has no true sense of reality and fiction. He sees everything his way, and doesn't view murder as bad. He views murder as a normal sort of thing, and rape as one of the worst things to do to another canine. His twisted thinking is result of quite a few things, but one thing is absolutely positively true about him. The only one who has complete and total control over him is his twin, Cira. Only she can calm the 'beast' within him, calm his madness with just a few soft words. It's not uncommon for him to have hallucinations that tie in with his schizophrenia, and also for him to not only endanger others but himself as well.
- Blood-Thirsty.
- The male is completely and utterly bloodthirsty. If not for his love and respect of his sister, he'd live off of it. Not because he enjoys it, but because it's like an instinct, he has to have his share of blood, and as said before, he'd do anything to live off the highs killing gives him, drawing blood. Something about it sends him further into his insanity that he instead flips about on the spectrum going from absolutely abhorring it to needing it to continue. This was also influence/created by his past, and again, as with everything else about him, which can't be stressed enough for the true depth to be understood, his sister is the only one who can keep him from going utterly off the deep end.
- Schizophrenic.
- Aric's symptoms are all the main ones of Schizophrenia; hallucinations (hearing voices), delusions, disorganized thinking and speech (sentences only loosely connected in meaning). Social withdrawal, loss of motivation and judgment and lack of responsiveness. Not only that, though, he has a more uncommon symptom as well, that of being largely mute, remaining motionless in odd postures, and exhibiting purposeless agitation. He doesn't always show the last few symptoms, only occasionally, on a really bad day, and on those days even his sister can barely rouse him long enough to shift positions. He can also become catatonic for long periods of time whenever his insanity and schizophrenia combined are severe enough that he basically shuts down to deal with it.
- Aggressive.
- When he isn't catatonic, or killing another, he's very violent towards others, and most often shows his thoughts through aggressive actions. He rarely isn't growling or snarling, or just overall without his characteristic glare. He doesn't know the meaning of nice, even with his sister, who just sits back and lets the insults roll over her, because he'd die before hurting her. She's the only exception to everything. In general he's very defensive as well, ready to attack now, make sense of things later. He doesn't take the chance of being wrong or right. He'd rather just attack them and then worry about whether he was right to or not later.
- Rude.
- Aric is extremely rude. He snaps at everyone, not just literally, and always is in a rather churlish mood, when not seeing/hearing/not making sense of things. The male would rather offend you than be nice to you, and he doesn't seem to have an idea of what being nice really means. To him, being only marginally less rude than he could be is considered nice, and when asked about it, well, he doesn't like others' telling him otherwise.
- Careless.
- He doesn't worry about anything. Not about how what he does might affect others, not that hurting himself may hurt those that care about him, heck, not even about why he feels lightheaded every so often from not eating. He just doesn't care. Aric isn't a big worry in the slightest, at least normally. He's generally very laid back as far as concerns go, and if asked about whether or not he thought about his actions repercussions, he will tell you flat out no.
- Over-Protective.
- So far one, and only one canine has instigated this within him. Cira is the only one. And in some ways it's a good thing she's the only one. When he's with her, he devotes everything he can to watching out for her, and even too much most times. For instance, if a male so much as looks at her wrong, his teeth will be buried in his throat seconds later if his sister doesn't sooth him. He doesn't want his sister hurt, and thus would do anything [even enter a fight that is unfair by a lot] to keep her safe. And if he can't keep her safe, then he's going to be right there beside her, taking as much as she does, or even taking what was meant for her. It takes little thinking on his part. Cira is his only family, the only one he has affection for/loves, so it's only natural he cherish and protect her, right?
Name: ~Tarnished Copper~Cira and Aric were born on a farm out in the countryside of good ol’ Colorado. They didn’t live quite so high in the mountains, only at the base of them, making a living through the use of their techniques, their parents had grown up in the Fairy Kingdom, but had left for hopes of starting a new life and getting out there in the world. Only, when the twins were five, the humans around them burned their farm down, for fear of their good fortune and the fact that their farm thrived when the others didn’t. No one trusted them there, and further violence and threats persisted if they were to stay. Their parents couldn’t subject them to such hostility, not at such a tender age, so they left, returning to live on the family estate with their grandmother, who had taken care of things while they lived abroad.
They lived there for a number of years, until the twins were ten, and then their parents decided once more to brave the outside world, this time moving further from there, and closer to a place of supernatural activity, not far from an entrance to the fairy kingdom. It was there that they lived for the next year or so until one day everything decided to change. Their father had gone flying earlier that morning, a ritual of his, like his days patrolling the grounds when he’d been in the army, and so it was merely a habit then, to which he had continued to follow. Only things didn’t go as planned, and something went wrong.
It was never discovered what happen to him, but all the twins do know is that their mother went to find him because of some phone call they’d gotten that seemed serious enough to their eleven year old mentalities, and they’d never seen them again. What had truly happened was that the company their father worked for had called in about an emergency, and needed him immediately. Since their father didn’t carry his phone on him in the mornings, their mother had gone to get him. And everything should have been fine; they shouldn’t have had anything go wrong. The airspace above their home was generally empty at that time of morning.
But that day it wasn’t. So preoccupied were they that they didn’t notice the man walk out on his porch down below them, or rather, slightly across the valley from them, take aim at what he thought were a pair of birds, and shot twice. One for each of them. Their father was shot through his thigh, their mother through her wing, and in trying to keep her aloft, their father bled out swiftly, and by the time they reached the ground it was too late, their mother having bled as well, having fallen upon numerous rocks and the like when their father had passed out midair.
The twins only learned of the tragedy when the newspaper spoke of two faeries’ corpses being found by a local hunter, who’d shot them on accident, but had taken them to the morgue anyways. They went and identified the bodies, and then their grandmother was called in to take care of them. Their grandmother had moved to the human world about the same time they had, and now owned her own diner in the city of New Orleans. And that was where she took them, to Cry Wolf High, to get their education while also being rather close to a gathering of faeries, so that they wouldn’t be absolutely deprived of their heritage.
