Appearance:
Personality:Cira is pale in skin tone, just like her brother, as well as being rather slim, barely reaching 110 pounds and standing in at 5'5. She doesn't need to be tall however, to get the reaction she usually gets. Her pale skin is soft, dotted, especially on her face, with soft freckles that are only noticeable when one is up close. Her eyes, when she wears eyeshadow, are smoky, dark and holding many secrets, though without any, they're a soft brown, sometimes appearing almost black in certain lights. Her hair falls to just above mid back when straightened, and when curly reaches just below her shoulder blades.
Her hair ranges from a softer brown with blond highlights, the summertime, to a dark brown, almost chocolate brown, in the wintertime. It may seem extreme, but that's how she's always been, connected to the seasons in an odd way that shows itself in unique ways. Most often one won't find her with a smile on her face unless it's for her brother, and even then they're fleeting. But if one does, they get to see a whole different side of her. Her eyes light up as well as she seems to gain a new level of beauty, all from a smile. She has no tattoos at the moment, but hopes to get some later on, when she reaches the age of sixteen.
History:
- Serious.
- Cira is the complete opposite of playful. In reality, she never learned to play. Things in her life never allowed her to. So she grew up just as serious and collected as a canine three and four times her age. It was unable to be helped. Besides, she had to be serious and down to earth to keep her brother safe, and in line. On any given day, in any given situation she's always collected and calm, ready for anything.
- Responsible.
- She's utterly responsible, and handles her responsibilities well. She doesn't bend or break under pressure, and keeps up with anything she needs to do. Watching out for her brother is not necessarily a responsibility, but a need. She doesn't want to leave him alone on his own, and as such, he's family too. Cira isn't going to back down from a promise either. If she promises you something, it will be upheld and taken care of to the absolute best of her ability.
- Honest.
- Juli is almost brutally honest sometimes. She calls ‘em as she sees ‘em, and doesn't often let that bother her. Because she reasons she'd rather get the truth than get lies, so she figures others want the same. It's not so much her being overconfident, or with some sort of big ego, just that she knows what lies can do, and thus avoids them at nearly any cost.
- Cold.
- She's cold as ice. Has to be, to deal with the teens they stumble across, or in most cases, stumble across them. They tend to be the rowdy type, if you get my meaning, because what other type would be meandering around, poking their noses into things that clearly aren't their business? The twins stick to themselves, the way they always have, and being cold is just one way of making sure it stays that way.
- Monotone.
- Cira is always mellow. She tends to go with the flow in a way, always on one 'level'. The fae doesn't upset easily, and takes a long time to think about things. Not in a way that classifies her as slow, or anything of that sort, just that she's levelheaded, and takes her time. As such she's always monotone, the complete opposite of her brother, and never sways from either end of the spectrum. She just is.
- Sad.
- Due to her parents’ deaths, Cira is understandably sad. She doesn't really ever look happy. Her gaze always holds that faraway, sad look, one that it untouchable no matter how hard one tries, and is ever just out of reach. She doesn't often see the bright side of things, nor does she see the dark side. The fae just sees what can go wrong, and what does go wrong. But she doesn't judge because of it, no, she just accepts it with another layer of sorrow added on.
- Courageous.
- Cira is one brave girl. She doesn't back down. Doesn't run with her tail between her legs. The femme refuses to run from her fears, and not only that, but she also isn't afraid to plunge headfirst in a battle against them. Now, she isn't stupid in her courage, no, not by a long shot. But nor does she take things lying down, and she also doesn't take intimidation very well.
- Decisive.
- Given her role as caretaker for her twin, she's had to make decisions. Important ones too. Ones such as whether to call Aric off or not, whether to go one way, or the other, whether to risk going out among others, or remain on their own. It puts a lot of stress on her shoulders, especially when something goes wrong.
Name: ~Tarnished Copper~Cira and Aric were born on a farm out in the countryside of good ol’ Colorado. They didn’t live quite so high in the mountains, only at the base of them, making a living through the use of their techniques, their parents had grown up in the Fairy Kingdom, but had left for hopes of starting a new life and getting out there in the world. Only, when the twins were five, the humans around them burned their farm down, for fear of their good fortune and the fact that their farm thrived when the others didn’t. No one trusted them there, and further violence and threats persisted if they were to stay. Their parents couldn’t subject them to such hostility, not at such a tender age, so they left, returning to live on the family estate with their grandmother, who had taken care of things while they lived abroad.
They lived there for a number of years, until the twins were ten, and then their parents decided once more to brave the outside world, this time moving further from there, and closer to a place of supernatural activity, not far from an entrance to the fairy kingdom. It was there that they lived for the next year or so until one day everything decided to change. Their father had gone flying earlier that morning, a ritual of his, like his days patrolling the grounds when he’d been in the army, and so it was merely a habit then, to which he had continued to follow. Only things didn’t go as planned, and something went wrong.
It was never discovered what happen to him, but all the twins do know is that their mother went to find him because of some phone call they’d gotten that seemed serious enough to their eleven year old mentalities, and they’d never seen them again. What had truly happened was that the company their father worked for had called in about an emergency, and needed him immediately. Since their father didn’t carry his phone on him in the mornings, their mother had gone to get him. And everything should have been fine; they shouldn’t have had anything go wrong. The airspace above their home was generally empty at that time of morning.
But that day it wasn’t. So preoccupied were they that they didn’t notice the man walk out on his porch down below them, or rather, slightly across the valley from them, take aim at what he thought were a pair of birds, and shot twice. One for each of them. Their father was shot through his thigh, their mother through her wing, and in trying to keep her aloft, their father bled out swiftly, and by the time they reached the ground it was too late, their mother having bled as well, having fallen upon numerous rocks and the like when their father had passed out midair.
The twins only learned of the tragedy when the newspaper spoke of two faeries’ corpses being found by a local hunter, who’d shot them on accident, but had taken them to the morgue anyways. They went and identified the bodies, and then their grandmother was called in to take care of them. Their grandmother had moved to the human world about the same time they had, and now owned her own diner in the city of New Orleans. And that was where she took them, to Cry Wolf High, to get their education while also being rather close to a gathering of faeries, so that they wouldn’t be absolutely deprived of their heritage.
