It had been a long and grueling day for the werewolf. Black hair spilled around her shoulders having been released from it's general everyday ponytail. Classes and practice were over for the day so Rowan assumed that she wouldn't be bothered. Walking up to the beautiful grand piano in the music room, Rowan set her backpack on the floor with a thump that resonated throughout the room. With a shrug, she dug through it until she found a book of songs.
Flipping through the book, she sat down on the black bench and then placed the book above the keys. Very soon, the dark haired green eyed werewolf was playing True Colors on the piano with a smile. It was relatively simple compared to some she played but it always gave her a good feeling none the less. As she finished playing, she quickly flipped to another song and began to play with fervor. Her mind was so absorbed into the music trying to forget the things that happened around her the things that were bothering her lately. It took all her concentration on the music not to think of the things that bothered her day to day.

Adra couldn't believe his luck when he managed to find the music room he had spent most of the day wandering around the school getting used to his surroundings he hate being in his human form, Then again it wasn't so bad his ripped crimson wings folded against his back and tail swaying as he entered the room his wings opening as he looked for nice high place to sit and play his flute. Eventually finding such a place letting his wings carry him to his new perch. "I might have to suffer the indignity of walking on two legs but I won't suffer the indignity of not flying."
Noticing someone playing the piano below the dragon puled his flute from his pockets and began to play along with her matching her tempo, before masterfully playing a melody of his creation the dragon's head on the flute flashing from deep crimson to black as the melody ends as he turns his attention to the pianist. "You are very good how long have you been playing?" Flashing a crimson smile at the young woman as he adjusts his long crimson hair to cover the right side of his face.

A flutter of wings didn't pull enough at Rowan's consciousness to break her from her reverie. Music was the only way she felt close to her deceased mother. While Rowan played the piano, her mother had been a great violinist having played concert halls all over the world. Music was a gift that ran through Rowan's blood just as strongly as being a werewolf ran through her. Dark hair danced in and out of her vision as she turned her head watching in amazement as her fingers danced across the ivories in ease. It made her happy to watch the music and her fingers dance in time. As someone joined her in the music, the werewolf's fingers continued to play but her green eyes swept the room. Settling her eyes on high, she saw a odd sort of person. He looked human but he had leathery wings springing out of his back. A dragon she supposed, but she didn't quit until the song ended to even ask.
Turning half from the piano, Rowan faced the dragon. Rowan shrugged ever so gently. "I started learning when I was four and have played ever since. I'm a bit rusty though. I quit practicing seriously a few years ago." Masterfully, Rowan left out that she quit because her father outlawed music in their house after the death of her mother. Shaking her head to put her hair out of her face, Rowan smirked up at the dragon. "You play very well yourself, maestro, how long have you been piping?" She crossed her legs and watched him. "I'm Rowan, what shall I call you, dragon fellow?"

The dragon shrugged as he began to clean his flute releasing a small jet of flame the flames warping and wrapping around the instrument as he thought his answer through carefully, it wasn't in his nature to give away details that could otherwise come back to haunt him he had learned this the hard way so instead he chose a more tactful approach to the two questions he had been asked. "I have played for little over a millennia I have enjoyed playing for as long as I can remember, As for my name you may call me Adramelech."
bowing his head in a polite manner the dragon fell backwards from his perch landing on the ground seconds later unharmed in a flourish of black flames besides Rowan. "A pleasure to meet you miss Rowan a pleasure indeed." Noticing his reflection in the polished surface of the piano the dragon quickly attempted to hide the pure white scorched right side of his face behind his long crimson hair.

Definitely a dragon, Rowan thought as the male sent a surge of flame around his instrument. It was strange to her for someone to be so open about what they are, but it didn't bother her in reality. She was very open with her pack and around others when she was in form, but when she wasn't Rowan worried how evident her status as a non-human was. In New York, she didn't worry, here she felt more and more out of step and out of touch with humans...with anyone really. After all the things she'd learned her, Rowan wondered how well she'd even integrate back into her own family...if she ever made it back.
Rowan nodded as the dragon answered her questions. What a different name and she wondered if there was a way she could shorten it as it seemed a mouthful, however, the young werewolf was aware that at times others didn't appreciate nicknames and shortenings of their given names. She'd stick with the whole mouthful thing. A wry smile spread across Rowan's face as the dragon came to the floor. "What a lovely dismount." She smirked as he tried to hide his face. She'd noted the texture difference in his skin, but she mentioned nothing of it. Rowan knew a lot about scars having plenty of her own across her back and shoulders. No one wanted to talk about how they got huge scars. You just didn't share that information with strangers. "Shall we continue to play or would you like to go somewhere else?"

Adra sighed as he knew that Rowan had noticed his scorched face as he held the flute on the tip of one his crimson nail tipped fingers, he smirked as he made the flames dance and weave around the intricate instrument as he took in her scent eyebrow quirking upward as he looked at her. "My face if you are wondering is the last gift my mother ever gave me before exiling me from my home, and I leave the answer to your question entirely up to you miss Rowan, and if you pardon my intrigue but you're a lycanthrope are you not?"
Returning his attentions to the flute the flames the dragon cupped them in his other hand changing there colour to a deep purple as he formed them into a flute with a wolfs head at the end happy with how the flute looked he cooled the flames into a hardened substance before igniting the flute from inside to remove any abrasions and impurities so that the sound would be nothing but pure perfection. holding the flute out to Rowan. "This one is for you it is a gift from one lover and purveyor of musical perfection to another."

Rowan's eyes fixated on the flames and her body stiffened as he spoke of his face. Her head nodded slowly as he explained and she looked back at him. "Unfortunately, it seems that very few of us come through life unscathed. It seems to be a curse of us so called "superhumans." Her words came with a wry smile but she spoke nothing of the scars on her back. If she ever got to wear tank tops again, he'd see them soon enough just like the rest of the population. They didn't bother her, but the events that had caused them did bother her. She didn't want to think of the memories that made her sad anymore.
"I'm a full-fledged born werewolf always has been my blood always will be." She said so with a smile. Somehow knowing that she'd always had this position in life made her feel all warm and fuzzy in side and it made her feel better. As he continued to play with the flute, she smiled. It was interesting to watch and she let her mind try to figure degrees on the fire, types of metal. It calmed her mind to be so focused. As he offered the flute to her, she looked confused. "That's much to nice to give away, besides I have nothing to give in return." Ever so gently she pushed his hand away to embarassed to take the flute. She really didn't know how to accept it. "Tell you what have you seen town yet? I could show you around...take you to lunch. You have to let me do something to earn the flute." She stood, grabbing the dark grey bag off the floor and standing slowly.

Bowing his head as he thought for a moment before nodding "I haven' seen much of anywhere yet and lunch sounds good, infact I'm so thirsty I could drink a whole herd of deer dry." Laughing at his own joke he stowed the flute in a jet black case and put it in his pocket as he motioned for Rowan to carry on ahead of him.
Trying to keep his tone as friendly as he could the dragon spoke once again "Miss Rowan I hope you don't find this terribly insulting or offensive but you are one a few bipeds I have met that I didn't instinctively think was trying to act like something they weren't." Taking a few back as a precaution Adra waited for the young werewolf's reaction if there was to be a reaction, Adra had learned that sometimes people and other beings didn't like it when you compared them to something or someone else himself especially it infuriated him hen someone would refer to him as a giant lizard.
Giant lizard indeed he thought to himself as he tried to reason what may or may not happen when Rowan realised what he had said or perhaps she had already understood his meaning and was already planning something, but then again he might have just been over reacting and what he said was just a completely harmless observation. "Um shall we Miss Rowan."

As Rowan straightened she never took her eyes off the dragon, recent events led her to trust no one she'd never been around before. However this mistrust did not make her impolite, instead it only made her wary. While she stood close to the dragon as was custom, she was careful not to appear especially into his presence. She treated him as one would treat an unintimidating new wolf to a pack. Rowan was not afraid of him but that didn't mean she trusted him. As he stowed the flute, she smiled and swung the backpack onto her back. "Well allow me to show you around and personally I think deer taste better with their blood inside, but to each his own I suppose." The werewolf smiled brightly and began to walk toward the class door. There were plenty of places in town they could eat if he wished, though she knew little about places to drink.
A slight smirk danced across her face as the dragon spoke as they walked. "Please don't call me miss. Rowan or Row works for me, Adramalech and I know what you mean. I have the benefit though of being raised in a werewolf pack from the time I was born. I never had to hide who or what I was from them and had others to teach me how to control my wild urges and be myself. I fear in my early days I was far luckier than most who've had to learn on their own who they are." She understood what he meant at some point, but she also knew that so many things lay behind the surface of all beings. People were made of many different layers. With quick steps, Rowan covered the hallway and burst into the sunlight of the outside world. "Shall we take a jaunt off campus? I fear I'm not a fan of campus cuisine."

Adra mulled over his words before speaking "I do apologise for any confusion my words may have caused but I am unable to eat or drink except the blood of others." staring at the ground as the dragon exited the room his wings carrying him out into the sunlight a low hiss escaping his lips as the bright light hit his eyes, his light coloured skin turning a dappled crimson in the light.
Muttering as his eyes reacted to the new brighter surroundings "Now I remember why I prefer dark and dingy to bright and fluffy Dark less in your face more subtle." motioning to Rowan to carry on for some reason he compelled or was it forced himself to act like a gentleman either way the thought of being nice was foreign to him it was something that didn't happen naturally for him it was just something that wasn't done day to day. Matter of fact nice and polite were two things Adra just wasn't it was weird playing the gentle-dragon it just didn't gel well with him but anything to avoid trouble was how he had managed to live as long as he had. "Not sure if you have noticed at all Miss Rowan but polite and nice are not my what's the word humans use.. speciality I'm more of a take what I can give nothing back sort of creature which sounds awfully wrong to most but when you don't have anyone to care for other than you no one teaches you right from wrong."
Lifting himself further from the ground if just a few feet Adra hated being on the ground it was such an insult that he had to walk just like the filthy disgusting inbred humans he never understood how the supernatural beings of this world put up with them, then again he was even more shocked that he hadn't tried hunting them instead of the harder and wilier prey he was used to hunting, sighing softly as landed next to Rowan. "Well Miss Rowan my culinary adventure in this strange land is in your hands."

Rowan nodded gently as he spoke of drink blood. Though he was a dragon, she didn't find it so odd since she knew very little about dragons. To her mind, it might simply be a quirk of his type of dragon. With a shrug, she continued on noticing how he reacted to the light. Obviously, he would have preferred the darkness but that couldn't be helped at the moment. As he spoke of the kind of creature he was at heart. She only shrugged. He hadn't been mean to her yet and even if he had she would have simply left his company. It wasn't like their time spent together was enforced or anything. He was as free to leave as she was from the other's company.
"I can understand that. Being constantly watched over and taught what exactly I was supposed to, be, and see when I am grown doesn't instill a whole lot of love for other species. Not everyone is pretty on the inside, we all have behaviors, thoughts, beliefs that tend to define who we are and how we treat people. Besides, it's not like I haven't rubbed shoulders with worse than you before." She smiled gently glad to have spoken truthfully. As he lifted off the ground and set back down, Rowan smiled wryly. "You like doing that don't you?" Playfully she shoved his shoulder when he called her miss again. "Rowan or Row, or I'll take you to the worse dive bar around this town." Without further hesitation, she began to walk into a more upscale neighborhood that catered to the supernaturals that lived within the city. Finally, the werewolf stopped in front of a store front, she stepped into the alley, and knocked on the back door. "Segregation. Can't let the humans know that there is anything more here than what they see." They were ushered into a very normal looking restaurant and seated at a table before being handed menus. "Now you can order whatever your heart desires."

Adramelech smiled for properly for the first time in what must have been centuries it was nice to smile without forcing it for a change it felt as though a great weight had lifted he gently nudged Rowan back with his tail as he continued to hover above the ground following her unsure of the destination but content."I'm not all that fond of walking I have wings and i'll use them it's not natural for a being that can fly to walk." He eyed his surroundings making not of the areas where he could ascend to higher altitudes if anything happened not that it would but he was always ever cautious of new places.
Growling quietly as he was ushered into the restaurant gently alighting on the ground before sitting down and waving away the menu as he knew exactly what he wanted the type and species it came from though he was hoping they had exactly what he was after and that it wouldn't cost too much. "Anything i desire now that isn't even hard blood A-B positive if you have if it please." Adramelech let out a low sigh releasing the smallest burst of jet black flames as he did, he didn't know how to handle this sort of situation one on one situations where he always had multiple escape routes calculated and formulated he felt trapped.
"Rowan I don't know how you and all these other supernaturals do it cooping yourselves up in here to eat it's so claustrophobic feels more like a cage than a place to eat." watching the restaurant carefully his eyes darted from table to keeping track of where every customer was and what they were doing he was very aware that Rowan must have known how nervous he was and even more so afraid of the confined space.

Rowan was warmed by his smile. Obviously her natural playfulness and body contact didn't bother him which to her was a good thing since she found that some beings weren't as fond of physical contact as she was. Her head nodded as he spoke of preferring to fly. She felt the same about running on two feet, she was so much faster and more natural on four, but she did so love her running of any type. When the being growled as they entered the restaurant, the werewolf turned and looked at him. Though she didn't speak, there was a question in her green eyes. As they were seated and he ordered, Rowan gave a cursory look to the menu. "Why don't you bring me a deer steak rare oh and some water?"
After the waitress walked away, Rowan looked to her dinner mate as he spoke. Her first reaction was to shrug. True she preferred freedom, but since she'd never known true freedom, it didn't bother her as much as it should. "Better than being on house arrest or being imprisoned." She muttered looking at him in the eyes. She watched his action and smirked. "I do exactly the same as you but I listen and smell instead of watch. It's the way I appear more normal. Seriously though, Adra...can I call you Adra?...Anyway, I coop myself up to eat because in human form well it's the best I can get. In wolf form, you wouldn't catch me dead in a building. It's a bit risky for me. Wolf instincts and all. I hunt the forest when I'm wolfy. Is there somewhere you'd prefer to go? We could get our food in brown bags and find somewhere else."

the dragon forced a wry smile as he waited for his blood trying to control his urge to leap out of his seat and tear out the throat of the nearest being to him all for the sake of the sweet red nectar inside their body, so in order to force his body to remain still Adramelech began to write in draconian script burning it into the table as he spoke knowing that the tone in his voice would give away the intentions he had for the paying public. "Did you know that your species fascinates me the most of all the supernatural races to inhabit this world, your race is the only one that can survive your body structure changing every month without your say so, oh ofcourse there are lycanthropes shape-shifters and lets not forget my race who can control when their bodies change and can also change at will. But too survive something as traumatic as that and still smile afterwards is amazing."
As he finished his small piece of scripture he read to himself quietly before answering Rowan's question with a short but polite answer "I don't mind eating in or out, out is better for me as I hate this stupid human form and please call me whatever you find easiest and most comfortable." leaning back his head tilting backwards as he tried to get comfy in the chair as he le his tail sway back and forth as though keeping tempo.
