The sun was slowly starting to settle in the west for the night, a gentle breeze flowing over the lands. It was starting to get cooler as the sun's bright rays started to disappear behind the earth. It didn't seem to have any affect on the lonely man sitting in the graveyard, though. And really, it didn't. He was never cold. He was a vampire, and feeling cold just didn't happen for him. He was dressed in a midweight jacket and scarf, though, to help give the appearance that he felt cold just like every other normal person on the planet. He sat in the middle of two graves, another meaningful grave visible between those two, and yet another that he was leaning against. He sat between his love, Ciro and his child Lucifer. The one just one row behind them and in between them was his sweet Fey, and behind him was Mattie. All of them, he had loved deeply, and all of them had been ripped away from him so cruelly. He felt as though all of their deaths were his fault. How could they not be? If he had just been there, Fey would not have been terrified that someone would come after her again. If he had just been there, he would have been able to save Mattie. If he would have just been there, his darling Ciro would not have died in a fire trying to save his son Lucifer. If he would have just been there, they would all still be alive. That was the reason why he wouldn't let anyone in anymore. He had tried with Jin, but he wasn't sure where she had run off too... He supposed that she, too, might be dead, confirming his assumption that anyone who loves him dies. He sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. He was unsure how long he had been sitting there, but it had definitely been a few days. The flowers that he had placed at each of the graves of his loved ones were now starting to wilt. He would have to pick up some more the next time he went to the store. But he couldn't bring his legs to work. He couldn't bring himself to pull himself to his feet. He was stuck, staring at the tombstones of the most beloved people in his life. He couldn't bring himself to leave them... Not yet. He knew that he would just go to the store, get someone to drink from, and then be right back in this same place. The graveyard had turned into his home, and he was almost certain that that wasn't going to change anytime soon.

The cheetah ran quickly through the trees that surrounded the outside of the graveyard. Some people may have found it strange to want to be here, among the dead but Madi found it peaceful. Not many people spent too much time here, especially at this time of day. It was peaceful and it meant she didn’t have to deal with anyone talking to her or asking her questions. She preferred this because she didn’t have any answers to their questions. She didn’t have any answers for her own questions.
She had spent the past few weeks traveling around New Orleans, spending a lot of time in her cheetah form and living off of the local rabbit population. She didn’t have a home and she didn’t have a job. She also didn’t know what the hell she wanted to do with her life. She had found solace at Cry Wolf High and then she had graduated. She thought she had planned her life out and would finally be able to rest. But instead, she had failed herself and now she was basically homeless. Good thing she wasn’t a normal human and could literally live like an animal.
She gazed up as bright pinks and oranges painted the sky while the sun disappeared. She loved sunsets, they were always so pretty. She made her way through the gate of the graveyard, weaving her way through the headstones. She always wondered if her parents were somewhere in here. She still knew nothing about them and she was soon turning 20. She thought maybe she would put some energy into figuring that out, but at the same time she didn’t know what the point of it would be.
It was then that she spotted the figure slumped against a gravestone a couple of rows in front of her. She stopped, tilting her head. This was a very strange time for anyone to be out in the graveyard. She weighed her options in her mind, debating on whether she should approach or simply leave. With a sigh, she focused her energy and shifted back to her human form. She quickly ran her fingers through her hair, trying to tame it slightly so she didn’t look too disheveled. She would just make sure they were okay and then she would leave. She approached slowly, attempting to make noise so that they were aware she was there. "Excuse me, are you alright? I don’t mean to bother you, but it’s just that it’s kind of a strange time for people to be here.”

It wasn't as though Damion's loved ones had just recently died... No... All of them had died almost a year ago. And yet, he still found himself walking through the graveyard, sitting by the tombstones, watching as the light rose and fell on the lovely stone... And the watching it again as the moonlight cast a different look upon the graves. The vampire just didn't even want to live anymore. But dying wasn't the answer either. He believed in Heaven and Hell, and he was damn sure that hell was in his future since he had become the demon that he was. Even before his transformation into a vampire, he had a streak of bad behavior on his resume. Leaning forward, Damion ran his fingers over the grass that grew above where his son was laid to rest. Such beautiful green grass... Suddenly, the sound of someone approaching lifted into his ears, and soon to follow was a girl's voice. Alright? Was he alright? Well he supposed that was a very opinionated question and could even be answered a few different ways by the same person. "I am... Fine. Just visiting a few lost loved ones," the vampire responded before giving a shrug of his shoulders, "I'm always here. I only leave to eat and get more flowers." Looking up to the girl, Damion gave a soft smile, his gaze then focusing back on the grazes before him. "If it's such a strange time to visit, why are you here?"

As she grew closer, Madi could see that it was a male sitting against the gravestone. She stopped a few feet away, being sure to keep distance. After all, finding someone sitting in a graveyard at this time was strange. She always had a knack of getting herself in bad situations, so she was trying to be better about keeping herself safe. She could sense right away that this was a fellow supernatural being. She could probably out run him if she had to make a quick escape.
But the man simply looked at her and answered her question. I am… Fine. Just visiting a few lost loved ones. I’m always here. I only leave to eat and get more flowers. Madi blinked her eyes a few time, hoping she heard him correctly. He only left to eat and get more flowers? Surely he must be joking with her. ”You’re joking right? You can’t just live at a graveyard… and it gets really cold at night.” She pulled her own jacket closer as she spoke, missing the warmth of her cheetah fur. The man continued to stare at the graves and she looked at them, reading the names and dates on them. All having passed away almost a year ago now.
If it’s such a strange time to visit, why are you here? Madi took a few steps towards the man, deciding that there was no threat here for her. She sat down next to him, in the middle of the row of graves. ”Well I’m not really visiting… I don’t have anyone here to visit. Well, I mean I might but I never knew my family so I wouldn’t know if there was or not. I usually just hang out in the woods around here. The human population is really low around here at this time of night and the hunting is good.” She grinned and winked, flashing her fangs at him.

Damion's heart had been held by several, and every on of them had suffered an untimely death. He couldn't help but to think that the common denominator in all of them was that they had loved him. All of them had been significant in his life, and all of them were gone. He quite literally had no one left. All of his family members were long gone, and all of his lovers were definitely gone. He had no purpose in the world at this point. He refused to get close to anyone again, his soft heart having been broken far too many times for that. He couldn't handle anyone else getting hurt because of him, and while none of his loved ones had died directly because of him, he had been in all of their lives, and that to him could be no coincidence. As the girl responded to his statement that he never left, he realized that to someone with a life to live, staying in the graveyard all the time might seem odd. Not to Damion. It was all he had left, so why would he ever leave? He looked up at her and shook his head. “I'm not joking. I have nothing outside of this graveyard, so why would I leave?” He shrugged and shifted his weight slightly, looking at the ground. “I don't feel the cold much.” He could tell she was a supernatural, the smell of her blood screamed it, but he still wasn't sure if he should reveal his species. Sometimes, vampires were frowned upon even in the supernatural world. Many people saw them as horrific killers, and he definitely didn't want anyone thinking that of him. There had been few times in his life that he had come close to killing someone. Most of which were when he was young and stupid. A couple were to protect his loved ones... He looked back up at her when she moved closer and sat down. She seemed like a nice girl... But no emotion filled the dark haired vampire. He wouldn't allow himself to. Even if she was kind, he could have no friends. He could have no lovers. Nothing. He could have nothing. “Ah... I see. I quite enjoy the human population. They don't bite back.” He said with a small smile, his own fangs visible now that she was closer. He figured he might as well reveal to her what he was. Even if it gave her a bad impression of him, it wouldn't matter. He wasn't looking for friends.
